AngloINFO in Belgium
AngloINFO launched its first website in Belgium, AngloINFO Brussels, in 2007.

The Brussels-Capital Region is officially bilingual. However, French is the main language spoken - as in Belgium's southern region of Wallonia - with only 10-15% of Brussels's residents speaking Dutch (known to Belgians as Flemish). Nevertheless, it is effectively a francophone island in the mainly Dutch-speaking northern region of Flanders.

A founding member of the European Union, Brussels hosts the Union's headquarters, as well as the head offices of other international organisations such as NATO. This, together with the city's prominence as a business centre, means there is a large, vibrant international community.

The diversity of both the local population and culture, together with the substantial size and diverse roots of the non-Belgian population make for a rich and multifaceted website, catering to all those in Brussels and the surrounding area with the information needed for life in Belgium, in English
